Senior Advisor with the LinkSME project in Vietnam. This 5-year, USD 25 million, private sector development project is financed by USAID and implemented by IESC, a USA-based consultancy firm. The project enables Vietnamese small and medium enterprises to integrate into global supply chains through a market develop of business support systems. This includes close cooperation with business associations, services providers, leading industries and the government of Vietnam.
Paul’s mandate is to ensure tapping into international best practices of market system development, contributing to the design of project strategies and intervention concepts, and assuring the quality of implementation of project outputs and outcomes.
Mousumi Chiran is Business Development Advisor. She completed her masters in Development Studies with the University of Dhaka in 2015 and since then was engaged in development cooperation programmes. Mousumi’s key expertise is in research, monitoring & evaluation, events management and communications (Click here for downloading Mousumi’s CV).
Mousumi was staff member of GFA’s team for the implementation of the Sustainable Economic Growth Strategy Project of the PSES Programme in Bangladesh, which is GIZ-financed in support to the Readymade Garments and Leather industries. This project was headed by Paul Weijers.
Recently, Mousumi was engegd in the research and documentation of “lessons learnt” of the PSES project and facilitation of a digitial symposium during its completion phase. Subsequently, she teamed-up with international consultancy firms, focusing on primary and secondary research as input for the formulation of technical proposals for private sector development projects in Bangladesh. Lately, she was assigned as Training Coordinator for GFA in GIZ’s UMIMCC project (Urban Management of Internal Migration due to Climate Change).
